As the first topic am going to tell you about some basic tutorials on macromedia flash 8. This topic consists of short details about flash's important sections like layers, frames and timeline.

In the first tutorial you must learn about ‘Layers’. Layers are the most interesting feature and should be used from start to end of all designs. I already explained what is the need for inserting layers at paintshop basics page.

Layers are more similar concept to a book having pages more than one. If you have a look at a book, the front page only visible and it hide the back pages. The same concept is used here. Here the upper layers would hide the lower layers.

Frames are the next important thing to learn about. Frames are used to control the elements on your movies. It allows you to specify when and how an element should have to appear. In a movie, number of frames only decide its length.

Timeline organizes all the contents over time of the flash movie. Layers and frames are sections of timeline.
